Summer house desighn and decor in Barcelona with panoramic windows
The interior of this house is based on white color and wood trim. See how the designer managed to create a Mediterranean interior, when looking at which you are transported to sunny Spain
The designer and architect of this cottage is Monica Recoder. Together with the owners of the house, she thought over the layout and interior, which looks so picturesque that it continues the picturesque view from the panoramic windows.
The first thing Monica did was to remove the walls between the living room and the kitchen, thereby uniting the zones into one social space. So this place became the heart of the house, which, plus everything, leads to the summer veranda.
In terms of finishes, the designer opted for a win-win combination of white and milky walls with warm shades of wood. This typically Spanish range is complemented by natural textiles, wicker furniture, handmade lamps and an abundance of fresh flowers.
The kitchen is spacious and comfortable. The working area is a large island with an oak worktop. Additional storage spaces are hidden on both sides of the island. A specially aged wooden floor adds a special charm, which harmoniously combines with milk walls, wooden niches and wicker chairs.
The living room in the house turned out to be truly summer: monochrome shades of yellow, many plants and wicker baskets complement the view from the large panoramic windows. In case of cold evenings, a fireplace is provided in the living room, which the designer hid in the wall.
There is a bedroom on the second floor of the house. The room is decorated in the same warm colors. There is a picturesque balcony adjoining the bedroom, which illuminates the entire space with natural light. Peach tiles are laid out on the floor, perfectly complementing the textiles of the same color (sisal carpet, cotton pillows and blankets).
The bathroom corresponds to the general style of the house. It is also based on a monochrome range of light shades of orange. And the long marble sink only accentuates the hot and sunny Mediterranean design.
The summer mood in the house continues with a veranda overlooking the sea. There is also wicker furniture and shades of orange that blend harmoniously with lush greenery around.
