If you are thinking of renovating the living room, nothing better than taking a walk through Casa Decor 2021 to get inspired. Because in addition, in this year's edition we have seen fantastic and functional ideas that could help us give a new look to our living room. Today, we are going to review some of the rooms that we have seen in the Casa de Tomás Allende , and we hope they will help you get ideas for your home.

In the Beoliving room, created by Marisa Gallo for Bang & Olufsen, a relaxation room has been recreated in which technology and home automation integrated into the decoration is the absolute protagonist. As an example, the Beovision Harmony television from this Danish firm, which is hidden when it is not being used.

We have also liked this room because of its practicality, the division of space  into two environments by means of a lattice designed by the interior designer. And to enrich the space, the walls have been decorated with wall coverings from Arte International, 3D panels, baseboards and cornices from Orac Decor enrich the space.

In addition, the space is a perfect example of how to integrate home automation in the living room, since they can be controlled from all the project facilities, such as lighting, audio-video and curtains.

Arches and curved lines are trending

Virginia Gasch, from the VG Living studio, always surprises us with her designs. And in #MissYourKiss, the space she has designed this year, the interior designer has captured several trends that are worn to decorate living rooms. In this colorful and vitalist room we can find elements such as the very trendy arc and rounded shapes, ideal to give life and a feeling of movement in any space.

The floors with ecological mosaic from firms such as Hisbalit become a modern and colorful alternative to the usual coatings. Sculpture lamps are also imposed to give a sophisticated touch to any room.

Multifunctional spaces

The pandemic has shown us that our houses must have multifunctional spaces. In Casa Decor we have found in this edition multiple examples of this multifunctionality. Among them, and in the case of the living rooms, we liked the proposal that the interior designer Cristina Amigo has designed for the Indian giant GM Electric Group.

In this room, which can be transformed into a living room, bedroom or workplace , the Circle sofa stands out. A sofa made and upholstered by Ormo's, which transforms into a bed, and the Curve screen which acts as a headboard or mobile partition.

Monochrome atmosphere and calm environments

If there is a trend that is succeeding in Casa Decor 2021, it is that of spaces that transmit calm, with monochrome environments, natural materials and textures. .. In the case of the living room designed by Sofía Oliva , we see a serene and calm atmosphere achieved through a comfortable minimalism, full of wood, natural fabrics, stone, plaster ... with technology such as Jung mechanisms, or textiles by Lizzo / Pepe Peñalver.

Also in this trend, we have the Ikigai room, the space designed by Lorna de Santos , winner of the 2020 Casa Decor Best Project Award. This room has been inspired by the return to life after the pandemic, and in it, in addition to the chromatic palette of neutral tones, highlights the use of curved shapes and the use of natural materials, such as clay mortar coatings, from Ecoclay, on the walls. As a trend that we can see in this, and in other rooms, the use of braziers and fireplaces also stands out to give comfort to the rooms.

Cozy living rooms thanks to pieces with personality

If you like cozy rooms, where you feel comfortable and safe, at Casa Decor we also have options to take ideas, such as the room created by Elena Jori, from Singular Living. A space that stands out for being extremely cozy, choosing pieces that surround and with a lot of personality.

Materials such as polished brass, marble, geometric shapes, art deco plant elements and marquetry on ceilings and walls take us back to the happy 1920s. Among the pieces of furniture, the sideboards from the Adara collection by Momocca stand out, with a unique curved finish..

The art of knowing how to mix

Mixing pieces, styles and trends is always a good idea to create different rooms with personality. But it is also true that you have to have some art to do it, and that it does not remain like a pastiche without any coherence.

As an example, Guille García Hoz has designed a dining room for the Ethan Chloe company in which mixing and eclecticism is the watchword. To create it, Guille García Hoz has opted for a mix of styles that fits with the adventurous personality of the character Ethan Chloe, a globetrotter with a lot of class. In the space, Levantina has also collaborated with the large-format porcelain tile Sahara Blanche , by Techlam, which Guille chose to cover the front of the fireplace, the decorative latticework and part of the floor.

The hygge philosophy continues to climb positions in our country. And the room created by Ana Mª Fernández, from Nometri, is a good example. This interior designer has been inspired by this philosophy to create a relaxed and comfortable space that invites you to enjoy a good book, have a cup of tea, listen to music or just chat.

To achieve this, it has combined classic designs, such as the niche with porcelain tableware from Vista Alegre, with contemporary furniture, from Mobliberica, such as the Sol side table , the Miles sideboard , from Dressy, the Salinas armchair from Musola and insect prints.

The carpet that dresses the space, as well as the wallpaper that decorates one of the fronts, curtains and cushions, are from CRClass by Roberto Diz, while the ceiling lamps belong to the Nightbloom collection .

Very livable spaces

It is true that we love design, but we are also aware that the rooms have to be functional, liveable, and adapted to the needs of the people who are going to enjoy it. And a good example of this way of designing is the warm room created by Mónica Garrido for the firm La Redoute.

In this multifunctional room, a central table stands out as the main element , acting as a coffee table and a dining room. And around it, the rest of the elements that make up the living room are arranged: from the sofa to relax, to the library area, the telework corner, or the reading or relaxation corner by the window.
