My name is Chris Parker and I've been a Photoshop user since 1990. I've used every version since and in this Photoshop tutorial I'm going to share with you over 90 minutes of jam-packed information for Photoshop beginners. 

Not only am I going to share some basic Photoshop tools, that you need to learn in order to get the most out of Photoshop, but you're also going to get some free resources, that you can download (at the bottom) to help you follow along and retain what you learn. 

So, what exactly are you going to learn in this Photoshop for beginners tutorial? First, you’re going to learn about Photoshops interface and discover where everything is located.  Because if you don't know where everything is located, you're not going to be able to find the tools that you need.  

No worries. You’ll be more comfortable, with the interface, once you complete this section. After that, you're going to learn everything you need to know about Photoshop layers. Photoshop layers are the essential building block of everything that you do in Photoshop. You're going to need to know layers inside and out, and I'm going to break it down to make it really easy to understand what layers are. 

In fact, you’ll the seven different types of Photoshop layers and the four different ways that you can customize your layers. Make sure to download the free resources in the description to use the Layers 101 file to use as you follow along. After you have a full understanding of Layers, I’ll introduce you to another create tool to use with your layers and it’s called Layer Styles.  

Another free resource file is included, to practice what you learn, from this section.  Layer Styles are an awesome way to take your creativity to a whole new level and you’ll learn all about them. Once you’re done with layers and layer styles, you’ll learn some pro tips for using the Type Tool.  

You’ll need the Type Tool to add text for your flyers or banners for your websites or whatever type of project where you need text. Then, another essential tool to know about in photoshop are the selection tools. You need to know how to select different things in your images in order to isolate that object or that subject so you can do other creative things; like remove people or products from backgrounds. 

After that, you're going to learn the basics about retouching and the tools to use for retouching. Some of the tools that we have nowadays, in Photoshop cc, are so advanced that you can literally remove somebody from an image in less than 30 seconds. Although this tool isn’t perfect 100 percent all of the time, it is an essential tool to have in your Photoshop toolbox and you’ll learn how to use it in this section. 

Plus, you’ll also learn about some other Photoshop retouching tools that will allow you to easily and quickly remove pimples and other blemishes with just a click. Once you get through all the Photoshop basics for those categories, we are then going to do a couple of advanced Photoshop projects that I've added from one of my Photoshop courses. 

One of which includes over 29 hours of basic and advanced projects to help you master Photoshop.
