There is already a date for the reopening of Villa Magna: height design and a three Michelin stars

Villa Magna, one of the most iconic hotels in the Spanish capital, is now in the process of transformation. Closed since March 2020, the Rosewood Villa Magna will reopen next fall after undergoing a complete refurbishment by property owner RLH Properties.

With the opening, the Villa Magna will be the first property in our country of the ultra-luxury hotel brand Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. And we are already getting to know some of the details that we will be able to enjoy in situ shortly of this hotel that will have 154 rooms and suites, including two of the most spacious and luxurious suites in the capital of Spain.

The keys to the reform: the façade, access, and interior design

The reform of the hotel is going to be noticed at all levels, although without a doubt, one of the keys to the reform project has been to focus on the hotel's pedestrian access . To transform this space, central stairs surrounded by gardens have been designed to connect Paseo de la Castellana with the main entrance of Villa Magna. A work being carried out by the Spanish architect and landscaper Gregorio Marañón, recovering the garden areas of the complex to create different shades depending on the season.

The Spanish architect Ramón de Arana has taken over the spectacular 'envelope' of the façade, which will probably be a new visual icon of the Paseo de la Castellana.

And when it comes to interior design , it's led by BAR Studio , an award-winning Australian firm associated with Rosewood projects. For its part, the British company ArtLink is selecting the contemporary art collection that we can see at the hotel.

The three Michelin star chef Jesús will lead the gastronomic offer

As we know that in addition to the deSánchez co theme, you also like to eat well, this news will also interest you: chef Jesús Sánchez, recognized with three Michelin stars for his Cantabrian restaurant El Cenador de Amós , will lead the gastronomic offer of the Rosewood Villa Magna flagship restaurant , Amos. The design of this specialty restaurant, supervised by Alejandra Pombo, is inspired by a Madrid tavern, combining tradition and modernity, with a sophisticated touch.

The hotel's additional dining options combine to offer a diverse experience with magnificent bars and restaurants, vibrant terraces and lush gardens, where guests can enjoy informal al fresco lunches and dinners.

In addition, the Villa Magna facilities will be completed with Sense, A Rosewood Spa, a peaceful sanctuary of well-being so that guests can disconnect from the routine of daily life, thanks to treatments from Rosewood spa brands and expert therapists. Facilities will include a gym, treatment rooms, as well as water areas, including an authentic Turkish hammam.
