37 m2 in an apartment in Minsk that has been inspired by Spain for its reform
This space of only 37 m2 is the temporary residence of a young girl who divides her time between Moscow and Minsk (Belarus), where this cheerful apartment is located . The client entrusted the renovation work and the decoration of the house to the studio of the architect Lena Budantseva . Lena highlights the "energetic" character of the client who is also passionate about travel. Indeed, one of his last trips to Spain served as the basis and inspiration for this reform .

As the apartment is very small and it was not going to be the permanent residence of the client, it was decided to integrate the kitchen with the living room. In general, the reform sought to create a light and lightly loaded effect , which justifies the scarce furniture in the room.
Just a few benches, occasional tables and an open bookcase complete the room where the large leather sofa is transformed into a bed at night . The storage of the house is concentrated in the entrance with a closet / dressing area and a small closet in the bathroom.
In this project, special attention was paid to the materials, their finish and their combination. One of the elements that gives the floor more character is the choice of a ceramic floor that is reminiscent of Catalan tile . The rough plaster walls have a warm beige finish. In the kitchen, a classic elongated white tile and a white stone countertop were chosen .
The tall kitchen cabinets in a coral tone match the floor, while light oak was chosen for the lower cabinets . Some of the kitchen furniture (such as the peninsula) is raised on metal legs that reinforce the feeling of lightness. Finally, the wood in the furniture and the wicker in the baskets reinforce the warm, Mediterranean effect of this apartment in Minsk .
