Tamara Vorontsova and Olga Uglova from Svoi Design studio designed a bright and cheerful bedroom interior of 18 square meters. m in a country house for charismatic and modern customers. The husband is a TV presenter, the wife is an entrepreneur. The main thing when working with this project was to meet the deadline - there was one month for rework. The clients went on vacation and planned to return with a completed renovation and a fully finished and decorated bedroom.
The main character of the concept - the cat on the wall - was not chosen by the designers by chance. “Before starting work, our clients always fill out a brief that contains non-standard questions. When asked what animal they associate themselves with, the customers unanimously answered that they are cats. Of course, we could not but use this interesting detail in the interior. The artist drew a cat based on our author's sketch - he has bright yellow glasses in the pop art style, ”the authors of the project say.
The headboard is divided into two parts: one part is higher, the other is lower, one is gray, the other is with a floral print. Bed with high orthopedic mattress.
Customers liked different style and color solutions. The husband preferred a classic interior with stucco and moldings in bright colors, the wife preferred a modern and very restrained minimalism in gray and white colors. As a result, it turned out to combine their wishes in one interior.
For example, the cat looks out precisely because of the classic molding. For the floor, a noble oak texture was chosen, which goes on to the wall. Walls and floor in the same direction is not accidental, so they set the movement.
A bright and very soft yellow chair, a rough and tactile floor mat and a yellow lampshade, which is located to the right of the bed, were found in La Redoute.
“While working on the project, we met a very interesting furniture restorer, as well as a professional carpenter. In collaboration with him, we have developed this beautiful console - a dressing table. Timofey Pronkin, former soloist of the Hi-Fi group, worked with us on its implementation. He made an outstanding frame. And Olga and I decorated it with microcement inside and out. It turned out to be a budget, but very original thing, ”says Tamara Vorontsova.
The dressing table is a handmade art object, it stands on two legs, as if half of the table had been cut off. This game is also observed on its facade.
The bedroom turned out to be conceptual and bright, while if the owners get tired of the color, it will be easy to change the interior and remove all the yellow accent elements.
The dressing room was hidden behind a carved partition, which perfectly zones the space without overloading it.
The TV stand is made at the factory according to the sketch of the designers. A classic model has been released in a pop art interpretation. All pens are different. Three materials were used in the decoration: wood, concrete and yellow paint.
The color scheme for the dressing room is unusual. “We solved it with three colors. The first and main one is MDF with a wood texture, which sets a noble background for the whole room. The second is playful yellow. They have a side open storage system, as well as drawers. The third color is gray concrete, it is it that is combined with the decoration on the walls in the bedroom and harmoniously connects the two spaces together,” the designers say.
In the dressing room there are rods for hanging clothes - they are illuminated from above with integrated lighting.
The designers decided to make part of the decor themselves: these are pots that were decorated with microcement, painted with acrylic paints and a sponge, a stencil. We also made a panel with a fern leaf made of microcement.
